Online e-commerce has been really dominant nowadays. It started to invade the internet and even divert a social networking site into an online shopping site. This is what happened to multiply. I once had a multiply account and I can say that I have seen how it slowly changed into an online market. And then I finally decided to leave the site since I started to lose interest and I’m not really into online shopping during those days.
On the other hand, it is also gratifying to know that the Philippines is considered as the top Multiply Online Seller in Southeast Asia. It showed how Filipinos showcased their marketing skills through the internet. It only proved that whether online or not, Filipinos excel in their own ways. The party thrown by Multiply is really one good idea to let the online merchants meet each other beyond the virtual world. It is a good way of strengthening the bond between the sellers and letting each other know that everyone in their world is real.
The study conducted by TRU regarding the preference of the Filipino youth came up with a pretty surprising result. From the said study, we can clearly say that teenagers of today didn’t totally forget to patronize our own products. It proved that majority of the Filipino youths are still in favor of the locally produced brands.
One more thing, it also showed how majority of today’s teenagers rely on clothing brands. It proved that people are more willing to buy clothes with good brands rather than those which can be bought along markets and the likes. They are willing to pay more rather than buying the cheaper ones. Though this one’s really justifiable since branded items are truly worth its price and are pretty good for long-term uses. It gives the people an assurance of quality and superiority.
The article talked about the photoshopped image of the DPWH officials done by some netizens. It showed the three officials standing at the area damaged by typhoon Pedring along Roxas Boulevard. I am actually one of the thousands who saw the image and I must say that the editing wasn’t really good enough. Kidding aside, I have come with a thought that maybe, the people who created this have something to say beyond the photo. Maybe they were trying to make a stand and emphasize the job that should be done by the said officials.
I personally think that the netizens who made this would like the three officials to wake up and see the work that they are suppose to be doing. They would want the DPWH to realize that they are not suppose to neglect their jobs. Instead, they should start making a move and fixing the problems. On the other hand, I must say that this is a big shame to the officials and it is not really proper to do such thing on the internet. Though, I must admit that the photo is certainly one great move to wake the sleeping DPWH officials up.
